Current Protocol To Slow & Reverse Aging
If you are reading this then you are probably already aware that I have been experimenting with traditional yoga methods that since ancient times have been said to be able to reverse aging, using modern methods and my own observations to test the results.
Method being Tested: Shakti Chalana Mudra
Summary: An advanced meditation method recorded in many of the earliest yogic texts that uses breath, imagination and posture to join the higher powers with the bodily forces in the body. It is said to be able to rejuvenate the body and cease the aging process permanently…
Requirements for success: The Yogic Texts actually claim that every single breath of this turns the clock back and makes you younger. The timing given for success varies from one hour a day, to three. I am aiming to build up to two hours. I believe that this is a fair test.
The Challenge: Over the time I have been building up this exercise I have learned to sense when I am managing to achieve exactly what is being aimed at. It’s not a matter of just sitting breathing and imagining. If you are successful the Mudra is rather overwhelming and hard to maintain. Just imagine if you managed to reach inside and find a switch that turned up the voltage on your very existence.
I do however feel that I am beginning to really master the exercise and am approaching the one hour mark!
(see previous blogs for more details on this exercise)
Supporting Regime.
Of course for something like this to work we need to create the correct situation for it to thrive. Thus I maintain a healthy regime for everything to flourish without resistance. I strongly suspect that this Mudra has not been tested very often as few are able to set their life up so as to be able to sustain it.
Asana: At the moment I have a lengthy yoga posture routine. It’s hard to explain but it’s needed just to deal with the main exercise that this regime has been based around. Perhaps the body needs this just to deal with what’s taking place.
Fasting: Fasting features in my regime in two ways, daily Intermittent fasting (only two meals a day) and Quarterly Clean Out (four, four-day fasts a year).
Diet: High Protein
Foods/Drinks Emphasised
- Olives (due to great health benefits and anti-aging properties)
- Beetroot (improved circulation and oxygenation of blood)
- Green Tea – two to three cups (reduced rate of aging)
- Coffee – one cup (moderate coffee consumption has been linked to longer average life-span)
Sleep: I prioritise sleep and am really learning to cut off and hibernate. I get between 6 and 8 hours a night depending on what’s happening and often nap for 30 minutes at midday. I feel this helps as its a break at half time.
Some honourable mentions: I do many other healthy things that may well be supporting reduced speed of aging and a healthy body. I lift weights, take saunas, have regular ice-baths, run, and keep a very calm tranquil state of mind in daily life.
Results
Twice a year I have a blood test which shows my speed of aging. I use these to compete in a worldwide competition called the Rejuvenation Olympics.
I am indeed managing to slowly decrease my average speed of aging. I am now down to 0.77
This means for every calendar year I only age 0.77 of a year.
I am now in the very auspicious position of 108.
How much of a success is this? The Rejuvenation Olympics is very competitive and if you search the names of the people around me you will find them to be very disciplined and dedicated individuals. For example the man just above me in 107 is a very well known YouTuber called Michael Lustgarten who weighs and adjusts his diet and supplements with monthly blood tests. A really impressive and insightful man with a cast iron will. We don’t need to go more than a few spaces up to see Talmage Johnson son of the ever positive anti-aging maverick Brian Johnson.
In summary, I think I am doing well, but really feel that we are just at the start of really testing this exercise.
