The Rosicrucian Liberal Arts Symposium in York

The Rosicrucian Liberal Arts Symposium in York

Yesterday we were at a beautiful symposium in York run by the SRIA.

It involved performances and contemplations on vibration, classical music and with artistic organ recitals in darkness with only the hands of the performer to be seen!

But things weren’t just focused on music, we also had an excellent display of icons with an explanation of the process of their production by the painter himself; a journey through the history of tarot cards which I found quite enlightening and insightful. We went through the evolution of how we value the cards and how they’ve been interpreted since their earliest times and how this has changed over the years.  This was finished off with a performance of ancient ritual outlining the seven liberal arts as a means to attain higher consciousness, like a chariot journey through the stars.

This is why I joined the society.
